Freiwilligendienst und Internship
In Zusammenarbeit mit unserer Partnerorganisation AIPC Pandora (Mitglied der Federation Experiment in International Living)

AIPC Pandora ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation, die 2002 gegründet wurde und von der spanischen Regierung anerkannt ist. Sie hat über 4000 Mitglieder. Wenn Sie in einer gemeinnützigen Organisation, einem Solidaritätsprojekt helfen möchten, lernen Sie Spanien von einer ganz authentischen Seite kennen.
Wir bieten sehr unterschiedliche Freiwilligendienste bzw. Internships in Zusammenarbeit mit AIPC Pandora an, die viele verschiedene Kontakte zu lokalen gemeinnützigen Organisationen hat. Das Programm bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, sich in einem Projekt zu engagieren und dabei das Land, die Kultur und die Bevölkerung intensiv kennenzulernen. Es ist wichtig, dass Sie ein grosses Mass an Selbständigkeit, Ausdauer und Einfühlungsvermögen mitbringen. Sie lernen die Aktivitäten der Gastorganisation kennen, erlernen auch professionalle Fähigkeiten, treffen viele Leute und tauschen Erfahrungen aus. Ihre Spanischkenntnisse werden sichautomatisch verbessern, weil Sie immersiv lernen = Sie sind ins spanischen Leben eingebettet. Gleichzeitig erlernen Sie neue Fähigkeiten und schliessen Freundschaften, die ein Leben lang halten!

Die Teilnehmer werden am Flughafen abgeholt. Der Host Tutor stellt Sie dem Team vor. Anschliessend Ihnen eine Mitarbeiterin/ein Mitarbeiter von AIPC Pandora eine Orientation und kulturelle Einführung in Land und Leute.
Während des Freiwilligendienstes (abhängig von der Länge des Aufenthaltes) wird es auch Gelegenheiten geben, einige der Sehenswürdigkeiten Spaniens und die wichtigsten Museen zu besuchen.

Wir stellen Ihnen einige Beispielprojekte vor:

1. project title: EL COTTOLENGO DEL PADRE ALEGRE

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
- Basically the intern will be in charge of the clinical assistant of disable people in the centre, helping the rest of the staff, and taking care of the ill people of this health centre.
- Depending on the patients they are having at the moment the intern comes, and depending on their necessities, the intern will be able to do more different tasks.
- The assistance to the patients will be in many different situations: during the lunchtime, physically and psychically assistance in some other cases, etc.
What is the goal of the program they will participate in?
El Cottolengo del Padre Alegre” is a religious and non profit organization that takes care of people who is not able to be attended in health centres because they are poor.

2. project title: FUNDACION POR LA JUSTICIA

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
- The intern will work directly assisting in the International Cooperation Department, with international projects in Senegal, Ethiopia and Mozambique.
- The intern will assist also in the three events the Awareness Department will organize during the internship period : The International Cinema Festival, The Theather Festival and The Music Festival, part of the awareness activities and events of the organization.
- There will be tasks in promotion, development of international contacts related to festivals about Human Rights, and for the International Cinema Festival.
What is the goal of the program they will participate in?
Fundación por la Justicia is an independent, non profitable, self-governing organization dedicated to defending, promoting and protecting human rights. Our goal is to contribute in influencing changes in attitudes and behaviour in society at large by assessing the current situation of justice and promoting values such as peace, democracy and solidarity both in Spain as well as in developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

3. project title: MUSOL (Municipalistas por la solidaridad y el fortalecimiento institucional)

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
- The intern will assist in the strategic planning of the organization.
- She/he will be in charge of a research project (in English) about some African countries to provide information to the organization.
- This information will be used to evaluate possible projects in these countries.
What is the goal of the program they will participate in?
MUSOL was founded in 1998 with the help of a group local authorities employees, professionals, experts and researchers who center their interests and professional careers in the field of local Spanish administration. In MUSOL, we promote the right to a dignified life and the sustainable development of the most disadvantaged populations, developing and strengthening the capacities of the regional and local governments as well as the Spanish, African and Latin American civil societies, all of this within the framework of development processes, decentralization and current participation in the recipient countries of our activity.

4. project title: Plataforma de Voluntariat de la Comunitat Valenciana

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
Support and help at office with all the tasks that take place
What is the goal of the program they will participate in? The Plataforma del Voluntariat Social de la Comunitat Valenciana (P.V.S.C.V.) is a network composed by non-profit organizations, all of them linked by volunteering, with the aim of promoting and spreading Voluntary Action in society.

5. project title: FUNDACION MAINEL

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
- Work and tasks related to international cooperation for the development: research and reports about international development in poor countries, international commerce, fair trade, etc.
- Tasks in different projects of the foundation, anylizing proposals and seeing the most economically viable projects.
What is the goal of the program they will participate in?
Fundación Mainel is a private, independent non-profit institution focused on cooperation for development and culture. Our main area of interest is the complete development of the human personality and the utmost respect for human rights and fundamental liberties, as expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

6. project title: NGO “CENTRO CULTURAL ISLAMICO DE VALENCIA”

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
- Civic Activites: Public service in a civic program (food bank, social and professional orientation services to immigrants, clothing services... etc)
- Training: Give a course, language or thematic according to specialty areas
- Research: Make surveys or collaborate in a research project
- Administrative duties: We may assign administrative duties (filing, data entry, database….etc)
The majority of the work will be in the main responsibilities. After reviewing the profile of each candidate and with the progression of time, other tasks may arise, as well as newly implemented projects.
What is the goal of the program they will participate in? CCIV, the Islamic Cultural Center in Valencia (VCCI) is a cultural institution and apolitical non-profit registered in the Register of Associations of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs No. 6474, which tends to strenghten the bonds of friendship between Muslims and the rest of the society, convinced in the enrichment that a pluralistic society based in respect and mutual understanding can bring.

7. project title: ASOCIACION AMBIT

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
- Preparing articles for the website
- Working with social networks
- Translation of articles in English
- Taking part in next event of the organization: participants, invitiations, etc.
- Preparing the material for the event: presentations, etc.
- Publicity of the event
- Preparing notes for the press
- Collaboration in other projects of the organization during the time the intern is in Spain
What is the goal of the program they will participate in?
AMBIT has worked for 20 years for people with risk of social exclusion, offering the opportunity to them for a dignified life.

8. project title: MENUTS DEL MON, ONGD d’ajuda a la infància

Where is it? Valencia, Spain
What will the volunteers do?
The tasks the student will complete during the internship with us are basically related to social action and civic activities.
Also the student will take part in awareness campaigns, with communication tasks, administrative duties, organization of events, etc.
The organization has projects abroad, and the intern will be able to have some tasks in international cooperation.
The majority of the work will be in the main responsibilities. According the profile of the student and with the progression of time, other tasks may arise, as well as newly implemented projects.
What is the goal of the program they will participate in?
MENUTS OF MÓN started working in the heart of South America, in Bolivia, but it was born in Valencia, Spain, with a desire to support the development of children without resources, without opportunities.
It is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, which works projects and develops cooperation to defend the rights of children.
The main objective is following the International Convention on the Rights of the Children.
